NEWS This Week @ Sunshine Fitness

Schedule of Events Monday Nov.8 - Saturday Nov.13

*Monday: we are still at TK's Gymnastics for our LAST classes there. 9:15am and 5:30pm

*Tuesday: No Class Yet

*Wednesday: Join us in Morehead for a special event with Maria Browning. Check my facebook to get your tickets. She is our area Zumba Education Specialist. She is an international Zumba star and is AMAZING!

*Thursday: Join us for a Sneak Peek at our new place... 6:30 class. Next to Big Lots. :)

*Friday: 5:30-6:00 Open house at our NEW STUDIO!!! 6:00-8:00 Opening Night at Sunshine Fitness!!! Join us for a fun night of Zumba only $5.00 - 2 hours for the price of 1. With prizes, snacks, water and lots of Zumba FUN!!!

I am really excited about the new place! :) I have a question though. Which class is like our classes we have now? The low-impact or Toning?

Toning class is like our current class.

The low-impact will have some of our same songs, but I will be low impact. (of course you can always go higher impact if you want) We also won't have the more complicated songs and the class is about 45-50 mins. :)

Sunshine Smith

Sunshine is a mother of 4 kids and is married to her best friend, Brent. She got into the fitness field while trying to lose weight and get healthy. She became a Certified Personal Trainer in Oct. 2001 and went on to drop 10 dress sizes. She loves being in the fitness field and being a part of other people's health and fitness successes. When she discovered Zumba, she found a wonderful blend of fitness and her latin background, it was just a natural mix for her. She holds many certifications, including NASM, AFAA, ISSA, Z-Health (R), and is licensed in Zumba, Zumba Toning and ZumbAtomic.

Kristina Johnson

Kristina is originally from Northern KY., but moved to Mt. Sterling 13 years ago shortly before getting married. Exercise has been an important part of her life to help maintain a weight loss of 40 pounds after her second child was born; however, NOTHING compares to the fun of burning calories in Zumba classes. She took her first class from Sunshine a little over a year ago and was instantly hooked!! SHe is licensed to teach Zumba and Zumba Toning and enjoys every minute of it. She is married to Kelly and is a mom of two wonderful children - Gracie, 12, and Davis, 6.

Tiffany Wilson

I was first introduced to yoga in 2006 after being in the corporate environment for three years and gaining the "sitting-down-all-day 15 lbs". When I couldn't find the cheerleader or soccer try-outs for twenty-somethings, I realized I needed a lifelong fitness practice. Now a graduate of the LHAA Yoga Teacher Training Program and a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance, I am thankful I have found my practice and I'm able to share my passion with others. For me, Yoga is not just a fitness program; it is a metaphor for life. You'll find yourself in some awkward and quite frankly humiliating positions, but just like in life: keep trying, take a deep breath and move on.
