2011 Schedule


Here's our schedule starting January 3, 2011!
Welcome Tiffany as our new Yoga instructor. She will be teaching one class for now and if there is enough of a demand, she will add more classes.

End of 2010!

What a year! I have been so blessed this year, in all aspects of my life. I am so grateful for each of you that I have met, that have become friends and that continue to support me. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to open a studio where I could offer different classes where people can find what they like to do to be healthy and strong. I am grateful to be able to do what I love. I am just so grateful I could go on and on... I pray that 2011 is just as wonderful.

Being the last week of a wonderful year, I have decided that 2 for 1 Zumba coupons would be a great little gift I could afford to give everyone this week. For every class you attend this week, you will receive a coupon to use the first 2 weeks of 2011 (Jan 1 - Jan 15). You can bring a friend and both get in to Zumba for only $5!!! :)  Thank you for all your continued support. I will continue to try to find things you like and that will help motivate you to achieve the goals you have for yourselves. As always, I appreciate any feedback. :)

Watch for some new classes in 2011... like Yoga, which will start at the first of the year. A little further into January will start ZumbAtomic (kids Zumba). Keep a watch out. I'll be posting a new schedule to include our new classes soon!

Holiday Hours

YAY HOLIDAYS!!!
We have very minor changes to our schedule during the holidays. I know you are all going to parties and get togethers and eating some YUMMY food so come on in for a class to help you keep the holiday pounds in check and keep your health during some crazy holiday times. :)

Some holiday tips:
*Eat only half the slice or piece of your favorite treat.
*If it doesn't taste good... don't eat it (unless it's good for you) hahaha.
*Keep drinking plenty of water. It's easy to forget when you are cold but that will help you maintain your weight, digest better and even sleep better.
*Don't forget to stay active. Come to one of our classes and make time for YOU!!! Everyone will love you for it. :)

Weightloss and Holidays???

I've always found the holidays to be a difficult time to lose weight. Back when I was heavy, I remember feeling like the holidays were too strong of a tempation... there to hinder my weight loss goals. I remember giving up and thinking I'd worry about it come January 1st. As the new year came, I saw how backwards I had gone in my weight loss. It was pretty pitiful.

I've come to learn 2 things....
#1 - Don't worry about weight loss during the holidays. I decided if I just maintained the weight, I would still be ahead in January. To do this, I would be careful what treats I DECIDED to indulge in. I would make choices instead of having one of everything and limit myself to one. I also needed to stay true to my workouts. If I left them behind, all would be lost.

#2 - The season of giving includes GIVING TO ME. If I didn't give myself the gift of time... time to workout, time to make healthy choices, time to destress... I would find myself in the "gained it all back" boat in January. So give yourself the best gift this holiday season and give yourself time for YOU. You are as important as everyone on your list and remember... you can't take care of others if you can't take care of yourself.

These are some of the things that help me achieve my healthy life goals.

CLASS NEWS: Zumba: Sunshine will be teaching all the Tuesday classes, Kristina will be teaching all the Thursday classes this week. Kickboxing: You'll want to bring a mat. :)
